Princeton Catalyst Mini-blades are crafted from flexible silicone allowing artists a new form of expression. Mini-blades are mounted on artist brush handles to give artists a familiar yet innovative feel to them. Designed for use with heavy-bodied paints like oils, acrylics and water-miscible oils, as well as with encaustics and are heat resistant. They also work well with plaster, clay and even food crafting. The Mini-blades are made of FDA approved silicone and are terrific for sculpting cake frosting. And cleaning them has never been easier. Most messes, such as dried paint, either peels off or will come off with just soap and water; but for handling tougher messes, the blades detach from the handle and are dishwasher safe. The solvent-resistant silicone wipes clean, and dried paint can easily be peeled off their surfaces. Dishwasher safe, they can be separated from their handles for cleaning and replaced when dry.
