The method of using PIGMENT DecoBrush markers is similar to acrylic paints, but enclosed in a convenient marker form with a flexible, nylon tip in the shape of a brush. The covering paint contained in them can be used on paper, metal, glass, plastic, wood, textiles and many other materials. The opaque, matte paint allows them to be used also on dark substrates using techniques previously not available for other markers. The Brause 511 is a high flex nib that produces fine hairlines, small swells, and requires a gentle hand. Very similar to theĀ Brause 513Ā nib in appearance and performance, save for a few key differences: The 511 is scratchier, and does not glide well on textured paper. The 511 is also more flexible than the 513, making it more suitable for intermediate and advanced calligraphers than beginners.
