In order to achieve high standards regarding lightfastness, resolubility and stability, Schmincke Horadam watercolours contains only the finest raw materials.
Supergranulating colours are watercolours with a special property: the combination of at least 2 granulating HORADAM® pigments intensifies this effect to “supergranulation”.
The colours are formulated with pigments from different colour ranges, resulting in additional colour changes besides the granulation effect. This novel, natural structure formation of the colours varies depending on the paper and the amount of water used. The rougher the paper, the stronger the granulating effect.
The colours are available in 15 ml tubes. All supergranulating HORADAM® AQUARELL colours have exclusively 4 and 5 stars lightfastness and contain only pigments already known from HORADAM®. The opacity of the colours is predominantly semi-transparent / semi-opaque.
All supergranulating colours can be used on their own and perfectly in combination with all 139 HORADAM® AQUARELL watercolours as well as all AKADEMIE® Aquarell watercolours.

Ladoga acrylic paints were developed in accordance with the modern approach to art of painting and its tools. Acrylic paints consist of pigments and acrylic dispersion. Ladoga acrylic paints perfectly harmonise with modern lifestyle. They enable artists to express their creative mind, their ideas in painting, decoration and design. Ladoga acrylic paints are very easy to work with, they are perfectly adhesive. Acrylic paints is the universal material. It can be applied on almost any surface: paper, cardboard, primed canvas, wood, leather, concrete. Acrylic paints can be used in different techniques. They are traditional easel painting, which is similar to oil and tempera techniques; monumental painting, especially church painting. It is also possible to use acrylic paints in the watercolour technique (the acrylic paints should be diluted with water).

Pastel is used for painting and decorating. Due to special production techniques with fine-dispersed pigments application, the ?Sonnet? artists? pastel is soft and velvety. Camel Colored Drawing Inks are transparent and flow easily from brush. Of the 16 shades of colored inks, 14 shades are dye-based with very high tincture power, transparency and brilliance. White is made from light-fast pigments. Micro-fine carbon black combined with special water based resins makes black drawing ink opaque.
Fully Intermixable and water soluble, they are ideal for line drawing, studio illustrations, visualizations, fashion drawing or interior and architectural work.

?Master-Class? artists? high-quality gouache colours are produced from finely ground pigments and gum-arabic based binder. These colours perfectly suit for artistic, decorative and graphic works. The colours have excellent spreading and water-mixing qualities and good covering power.They can be spread onto any flat surface, but the best materials for application are paper, cardboard and grounded canvas. The surface becomes matt and velvety upon drying; the colours are easily to wash off. The colour chart for paints sets is selected in accordance with methodological instructions adopted in artistic education. Acrylic colours "Decola" are applied for painting onto different surfaces, they don't crack and strongly keep not only on solid materials, like cardboard or wood, but also on flexible: cloth, leather, paper, ceramic and etc. After drying this type of colors forms up an elastic and bright coating. Colours are produced on a basis of water-acrylic dispersion that perfectly can be mixed with each other. High concentration of pigment provides excellent covering properties.
Color palette of acrylic colours "Decola" has a variety of colors which always keeps widening, including metallic, fluorescent, pearl and interfering colours.
Artists' oil colours «Ladoga» represent a balanced palette of hues for professional education and creative work. Important is that analogs correspond in tone to the original colours. Pigment part of earth colours consists of natural pigments that give saturation and intensity of a tone in contrast to synthetic colours.

OPEN Acrylics are a slow-drying paint with a slightly softer consistency than our Heavy Body paints. The increased working time of these colors expands their range to include more traditional techniques once only possible with oils. Thick applications can dry extremely slowly, so we recommend artists only use OPEN Colors thinly (< 1 mm). Drying time can also be accelerated by mixing OPEN with faster-drying acrylics like our Fluid and Heavy Body colors. The slow-drying capability of OPEN Acrylics also makes the suitable for some printmaking techniques.
Because OPEN Acrylics dry slowly, painters who cover their palettes or use sealed containers have been able to use the same colors for weeks, reducing the amount of paint wasted and preserving color mixtures for future use.
